From Bolivia, with love
We Are Present group exhibition Organized by the Diversity Compagnie in the frame of Lange Nacht der Bilder 2025 - Berlin, DE After taking out their seeds and rinsing them in a milk bath, I proceed to eat spicy peppers which I brought from Bolivia, all the while German classical music is playing.
I then offer them to the audience, Every time someone declines, I eat the pepper myself. The performance ends after all the peppers have been consumed. |

How does a border get created? When does a border affirm and when does it negate? Is a border always a form of exclusion or can it also be a site of exchange? Who gets to set the boundaries of something? Are a boundary and a border the same thing? How are they different? Do those outside the border matter? Who gets to cross borders and who is restricted? |
What happens when you cross to the other side?
What does it feel like? What do you bring with you when you cross? How do you transform and how do you stay the same? Who is able to meet you in that frontier space? How heavy are the things you carry with you? What happens when you simply can no longer carry anything? Who shares that joy and that burden with you? |
