SEVEN THOUSAND PYRES

7 minutes 6 seconds
2023 - Berlin, DE

The video is based on a durational performance which took place from October 30th - November 3rd, of 2023 in my atelier. For six hours each day, a small group of people joined me in lighting seven thousand candles (one for each person killed in Gaza during the month of October), which I would then extinguish with soil mixed with flower petals.
